Firewerx takes leisure time seriously and actively encourages outdoor sports.
To that end we have sponsored a team of riders in the local Cape Town motocross community, we regularly sponsor events and have even sponsored the extremely talented local rider, Dylan Donald, to represent our team on the national circuit.
Golf is another passion and Firewerx has been proud to be involved in a number of golf days for raising money for charity and look forward to involving themselves further in the sport in the future.
Firewerx is proud to have awarded two scholars from the local high school, Sinenjongo High School, with academic scholarships for their 2019 Matric year. Congratulations to Esona and Zimi! — at Sinenjongo High School
For Mandela Day 2017 Local Government asked Firewerx to assist in protecting shack dwellings in the recently devastated Hout Bay settlement, Mandela Bay. Firewerx donated a very large amount of primer, intumescent paint, machinery and labour to paint the shacks and provide some element of fire protection and tried to make a difference in honour of our beloved President Mandela. We also donated 67 shirts to the families of those stricken by the recent fires.
FIREWERX donated towards Clever Kids, Smart Dogs, an organisation helping the kids of Atlantis to understand how to look after their own pets.
Firewerx exists primarily to save lives in the event of fire. Today we decided, and our GM Pete Holman arranged, for some of our team to do some other life saving work. We donated blood at Milnerton Medi Clinic. Hopefully this will inspire others to similar action for this cause.
Firewerx supports Breast Cancer Awareness month – for all women fighting and battling with Breast Cancer.
